Steve invited me for the week-end of 4-5th August, and we went to Baltimore the whole Saturday, I, Steve and Gayla.. :-)

We first visited the fort MacHenry, where the national anthem has been composed, celebrating the flag floating still at the top of the fort, after a night of tempest and cannonade, at a critical moment in the history of the US.

... and had a lunch at the well-known sea-food restaurant Phillips (established maybe a century ago)... [this is before to get to the restaurant... black people preparing chocolate delicacies, and singing and making their show...!! you can hear them from a couple of meters away!! :-)] IMG_4854_20_1 (a little picture of lovers... ;-) :-) )

... waiting for the shark lunchtime (Steve's joke) to visit the national aquarium ... it was a very hot day, so we enjoyed being inside ... here the biggest frog I've ever seen! ;-) IMG_4859_25_1

I didn't take too many pictures in the aquarium,... almost at the entrance, there was a big basin, with huge raies (more than 1m wide), and another curious species that I couldn't well identify...
There was a skeleton of whale suspended over us... I guess they took the bones one after another, because the entrance was not big enough to allow for a whale to come and visit the place (tell to your friends who are whales not to visit aquariums, even if they manage to enter, they could have a hard time to get out! (yes, it was interesting! :-)) ) Some fishs were happy to see us... not exactly all of them
... but at least there was one who seemed happy, and smiled with every teeth...

... probably Steve was right... it was feed time ! ;-) [poor Steve][don't despair, this was supposed to be a joke!!]
